The Dress

Princess Mae!
Oh how I love this sweet little face! We went to Disney on Ice about a week ago and last time we went everyone was dressed up! So I wanted Mae to be able to dress up as well! My sweet sister in law offered to help me make one, little did she know she would end up making it! I'm sorry! I should have warned you I really can't sew! She worked so hard on it and it turned out absolutely amazing! Thank you so much Kylee! You are incredible!

Appendicitis

Poor Cody! About 2 weeks ago I met him for lunch and he said he was starting to get a stomach ache. Later that evening he said is was starting to localize in his right side. Oh no I know what that means! But he didn't want to go to the hospital quite yet, lets see how I feel in the morning he said. So the next morning he wasn't feeling any better so I called the Dr. They couldn't see him til that afternoon. So we went to the Dr. and sure enough appendicitis it is! His Dr. called the surgeon and said "Hey I got a kid over here with appendicitis, you interested?" He sent us over to the hospital and the surgeon said lets head into surgery! It all happened so quick! So he had his appendix taken out that evening. They ended up keeping him overnight since it was so late. It has taken awhile but thankfully he is on the mend! What an experience though! We were told that 8 in 100 will have appendicitis! And I had mine out about 8 years ago! It was the first time Cody had ever had an IV, been admitted to the Hospital, been put under and had surgery! Way to go big!

Kadence's Birthday Project!

This year for Kadence's birthday we decided we wanted to do something a little more meaningful! We came up with the idea of making little keepsake boxes for all the parents of babies in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit down at Utah Valley Hospital where she spent 6 weeks of her life! We had so much help! And it was so fun and rewarding to do something in her memory!

Grandma Nay & Aunt Kylee

My mom was absolutely amazing! She spend 2 entire days with me helping me prep everything and she put out an amazing spread for all our helpers! I don't know what I'd do without her! I seriously think she has some sort of superwoman gene that I certainly didn't get!

My aunt Kim and sweet cousin Jer! We have always been super close! But what 21 year old guy do you know that would come scrapbook for his cousin?! He is such a sweetheart!

Mae also enjoyed getting in on the action!

Cody and his Cousin Cassie, who is amazing by the way! Another thing I wanted to accomplish before her birthday this year was her scrapbook. Amazingly it is finished! It turned out more incredible than I could have imagined! And I could not have done it without this lady right here! She pretty much held my hand and told me I could do it, even when it was incredibly hard she was there to help me along! I can't tell you thanks enough Cassie!

So thanks for listening to this long overdue post! And we think we'll make this a tradition so look forward to next years project all our little helpers! We can't tell you how much we appreciate all of your help! We couldn't have done it without you!
We ended up making 40 keepsake boxes that we delivered to Utah Valley Hospital's NICU on January 30. It was a really incredible experience and I hope Kadence knows how much we love and adore her!

Temple Square

As a child I loved going to Temple Square to look at the lights! And this year Mae has been so excited to see all the lights on peoples house's. It has been so fun! So we decided to take her up to Temple Square. It was a little bit chilly, and extremely crowded, but it was still really fun!

This year they added quite a few little nativity scenes, all pretty different from the typical nativity! I really loved this little Japanese looking one, it was so adorable!

Disney Princess's on Ice

We were able to go to Disney Princess's on Ice with a few of Cody's cousin and their little ones, it was so fun for Mae! She was so cute, and I think she might have enjoyed riding Trax just as much as the Princess show!

Halloween

Little Raggedy Anne, Mae was so cute this year! She was so shy at the doorstep and wouldn't say a word until she got her candy, but once it was safely in the bag they got quite an enthusiastic "THANK YOU!"

Little Moments

Last night my mom had us over for dinner, today I've been tired and so for dinner I reheated the meal my mom made us last night, super ambitious I know! So I set down Mae's and she takes a big bite.
"Mmmmm, Mom so good! Give you big hug and kiss!"
I got the kind of hug that only a three year old can give and a big wet smooch, all for reheating a dinner I didn't make.
She is what I live for

I can't believe she's 3!

I can't believe that 3 years have already passed us by! To celebrate Saturday evening we went to Cornbellys with Mae's little cousin/friend Karlie, her parents Wes & Angee, and Aunt Kylee & Uncle Spencer. It was a little expensive but the girls had so much fun!! They jumped, went on slides, played in a corn box(like a sandbox but with corn), rode a cow train, raced ducks, listened to creepy singing chickens, did a corn maze and all sorts of fun things! I think they were both exhausted by the time we were through!

Then on Sunday we got up and had a big birthday girl breakfast!

That afternoon we went to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3D, She really liked it but I'm not sure how she could tell what was going on because she took her 3D glasses off about half way in and when I took mine off it was awfully blurry! Then we had the fams over for some birthday desert and presents! Thanks everyone for making it such a great day!

Summer Happenings

So its been quite some time since I've posted anything new so I thought I'd just do a little recap of the last few months. Mae recently started dance class!! So cute! She is the youngest in her class by at least six months and I'm not sure if its her age or her personality but she doesn't follow instructions very well so we'll see how she does the next two weeks and we might wait and start again in the spring, but she is so cute!

Every year I go with my Mom, sister, aunts and grandma up to Swiss days! It is so much fun! There is so many fun things to look at and buy, and my favorite part is the Scones! They are huge and delicious!

The other day while cleaning I had the little potty in the front room, I came out to find Mae reading a book doing her business, it was pretty funny!

We went up American Fork Canyon to camp overnight with Kylee Spencer and Michelle, Mae was pretty excited until it got dark, then she kept saying "Getting dark, go home now?" And then when we went to go to sleep in the tent she started crying and asking for "Mae's bed?" So needless to say it wasn't that great of a trip. But she must remember it differently because whenever she sees the mountains she'll say "Mountains! Mae sleep in tent, fun!" ha ha shes so cute!
